Review conducted as of October 31, 2023.

**All ACUVUE® contact lenses have Class 1 or Class 2 UV-blocking to help provide protection against transmission of harmful UV radiation to the cornea and into the eye. UV-absorbing contact lenses are NOT substitutes for protective UV-absorbing eyewear such as UV-absorbing goggles or sunglasses because they do not completely cover the eye and surrounding area. UV transmission measured with -1.00 lens.

Fit Guide
1. Determine max plus/min. minus spherical refraction
  • Perform a new subjective refraction° then remove cylindrical power and determine best distance VA with the least minus spherical refraction°°.
2. Determine the sensory dominant eye
  • +1.00 blur test recommended rather than sighting methods
3. Determine the lowest ADD based upon the patient's needs
  • With the distance spherical refraction in place, determine the lowest functional reading ADD
Top Tip: Regardless of age, start to explore if LOW ADD (+1.25) matches the patient near vision need, and if necessay increase ADD steps until required near vision is achieved.

If your patient still has specific near or distance need, refer to the enhancement tables.
